Description
Lithograpy is one of the oldest printing methods and uses the fact that water and grease repel eachother. In this workshop you’ll be introduced to an alternative version of this technique with regular household materials, like aluminium foil as a printing plate and (cheap!) cola as an acid.
You’ll draw with different greasy materials on the aluminium, ‘etch’ it with the cola, and will make several prints on paper. During this workshop you can work with different materials, techniques and approaches or combine them. After this evening you’ll have a diverse collection of prints.
What is The Monday Printing Club?
Our monthly MPC are short, accesible workshops on Monday evenings, where you can get to know a new technique and the Grafische Werkplaats. You can also use these to freshen up on a technique a bit. This MPC is under the guidance of visual artist Stefanie Scholte.
