Description
Monotype is a printing method in which you draw, paint, scratch or form an image with different materials on a plate to make a print of it. The emphasis in this techniques lies in the experimental approach to discover what different materials do, because in principle you can only print the image only once. Mono-prints often have a more playful character, compared to working on an image in for an edition.
You get a printing plate and will make several prints on paper. This evening, you can work with different materials, techniques and approaches or combine them. After the workshop you’ll have a diverse collection of prints.
What is The Monday Printing Club?
Our monthly MPC are short, accesible workshops on Monday evenings, where you can get to know a new technique and the Grafische Werkplaats. You can also use these to freshen up on a technique a bit. This MPC is under the guidance of visual artist Jerney de Wilde.
