Gardening and workshop during ‘Burendag’

Neighbours’ Day in the Dye Garden of the Graphic Workshop

Sun. 26 September 12:00-15:30 u.
Location: Wijkpark de Horst, Mariahoeve, Den Haag

De Grafische Werkplaats manages the dye garden in the de Horst district park in Mariahoeve in collaboration with the Gardens of Mariahoeve. This dye garden is a raised and deposited circle with a diameter of 6 meters and is divided into different pie points trimmed with willow trees. Wede, Madder, Tansy and Ox tongue grow there. The workshop itself takes care of the management and maintenance of the circle and has set up a working group with volunteers for this purpose.
On this day we will see what we can still harvest, add a number of plants, make reinforcements and make the garden as hardy as possible. Of course we will tell more about how we make ink from the roots and plants and use it to print (screen). We end the afternoon with a small creative screen printing workshop where we print patterns with natural ink.
