Do you want to come work at the Grafische Werkplaats?
Before you come to work at the Grafische Werkplaats for the first time you make an appointment for an indroduction meeting. During this conversation we will determine how indepently you can work.
There will always be a Technical Advisor on site on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9.00 tot 17.00 hrs. These are experienced artists with a lot of knowledge of one or more of the available printing techniques.
It is possible to come and work on the other days of the week, but you have to be experienced enough in the technique you are going to work in and are familiar with the Werkplaats.
In short there are 3 options:
You have no or very limited experience of the technique you want to work with.
BEGINNER
We advice you to follow an OPSTAP workshop or course in which you will learn the basics of the technique. Afterwards you can come and work in the learned technique on days that there is a Technical Advisor on site to assist you.
You have enough experience to come and work with the assistance of a Technical Advisor.
INTERMEDIATE
You can book your time on days that there is a Technical Advisor on site, so he or she can assist you if you have any (technical) questions.
You can come and work on
Mon / Wed / Fri from 9:00-17:00 hrs. At the end of the day you pay for the time you have worked and the materials you may have used.
You have enough experience to work on your own, without the assistance of a Technical Advisor.
ADVANCED
You can also come and work on days wihen there is no Technical Advisor on site. You will make clear arrangements about this and pick up the keys beforehand.
You can come and work on
Mon / Wed / Fri from 9:00-17:00 hrs. We work with a key deposit and a user agreement and you will settle your bill afterwards with the Technical Advisor.

Tarifs per March 1, 2025
The Grafische Werkplaats is (for the moment) largely financed by grants. These grants are secured for the coming two years, but in the near future the Werkplaats will have to charge it’s users a larger portion of the costs. The tarifs of the Grafische Werkplaats have stayed the same since 2020 even though everything else has become more expensive due to inflation. We are slowly upgrading our tarifs from 1 March 2025 onwards.
