		Workshop Make your own professional work practice more sustainable Guided by Nanette Hogervorst / risograph: Bertus Gerssen (NL + EN) For the professional maker Thu. May 13 (Ascension Day), 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. 4-10 participants € 85, – How do you apply sustainability in your work practice? Where do you start? After some theory, you will begin to make an action plan for making your work practice more sustainable. We will exchange ideas with each other and at the end of the workshop, you will bundle the most important tips and insights in a small book that you immediately print on the risograph. Workshop Making natural inks + screen print Guided by Ilse Versluijs (NL + EN) For the professional maker, screen printing experience is mandatory Su. May 16, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. SOLD OUT 3-6 participants € 85, – Extra: second workshop: 26 May (SOLD OUT, waiting list is possible) Together we will make some natural inks. We will use them to make screen prints with pre-prepared screens. You will while doing so, learn more about natural ink making and you will go home with various screen-printed samples on paper and textile. This way you can start your own ink production. Ilse Versluijs is a visual artist, manager and teacher at the Grafische Werkplaats. She is also the coordinator of the new paint garden of the Grafische Werkplaats. 		Workshop Plastic recycling Guided by Jessica den Hartog For the professional maker Tue. May 18, 10 a.m. – 2.30 p.m. 4-10 participants € 85, – Jessica den Hartog (Den Bosch) is a designer and is specialized in creating new materials and objects out of plastic waste. In her work, she explores the many colorful possibilities of this material. She will take you along in her process.During this workshop, Jessica will guide you through her working method. You will start to work with plastic bags, grids and recolored films. Together we will have a look at challenges for you as a professional. How can you present this material in a new and innovative way? Be guided by the material and experiment with techniques such as weaving, collage, color composition and pattern pressing with the heat press. Challenge yourself to completely customize the material and go home with all kinds of material samples. In this workshop, you can try out how it’s like to print with sustainable inks, such as vegetable inks or inks that are made from residual material. After a demonstration, you can get started with some inks yourself. Bring your own print-ready design with you for the printing (so your screen, etching or linocut max A4 size), we will take care of the inks. 		Lunch & Workshop Collaboration with the Volkskeuken (NL + EN) cancelled bij covid-19 12.00-14.30 u.; €5,- p.p. incl lunch and short workshop The people of the Volkskeuken prepare a delicious picnic, while the people of the workshop make ink from the food leftovers on the spot. At 12 noon. you can first have a picnic in the park and then make a stamp, which you can use to print a tablecloth together with the natural ink. We donate this tablecloth to the Volkskeuken, so that many people can still enjoy a delicious meal and a beautiful tablecloth!

		Online Talk: Aniela Hoitink and Remi Veldhoven via Zoom (EN) Tue 18 May, 10 am-11am. € 4,- In this talk Aniela Hoitink from NEFFA is going to give an introduction on MycoTEX. MycoTEX® is the ground breaking automated seamless manufacturing method allowing for custom-made products made from compostable mushroom roots. After the introduction there will be plenty of time to ask the questions you are having. Remi Veldhoven graduated as a textile designer and textile engineer. After doing research at a textile waste processor and seeing the great mountains of worthless textiles there, she decided not to add more new textiles to this, but to look for ways to valorise worthless textiles. With her various activities she wants to give back the appreciation it deserves to discarded textiles and the general view on textiles and clothing. In this talk Remi talks about a project she is doing in collaboration with the Zeeuws Museum in Middelburg. Go to agenda for reservations.
